About
I've always been drawn to helping people understand themselves, each other, and the world more clearly.
Whether I'm working with an artist, a collector, or a cultural organization, I begin by listening. I look for the stories, patterns, and possibilities that are often difficult to see from the inside. My role isn't simply to curate exhibitions, advise collections, or support artists' careers. It's to help people uncover what is most authentic about their work and build from that foundation with intention.
I'm Meredith Lancaster. I am an art historian, curator, educator, creative steward, and founder of Golden Hour Arts.
Throughout my career, I've worked in museums, nonprofits, archives, higher education, and artist management. While the settings have changed, the heart of my work has remained the same: helping people connect ideas, clarify purpose, and create work that reflects their values.
Golden Hour Arts is a practice of creative stewardship that grew from my belief that artists deserve thoughtful, transparent support and that creative work flourishes through genuine partnership. I believe in amplifying underrepresented voices, building relationships rooted in trust, and creating opportunities that honor both artistic vision and long-term sustainability.
Whether I'm guiding an emerging artist through their first solo exhibition, developing a curatorial project that centers community and lived experience, advising a collector on building a meaningful collection, or helping an organization better understand its own story, my approach is always grounded in care, curiosity, and integrity.
I don't believe my role is to tell people what to create. I believe my role is to help them discover what is already asking to emerge, and to build the support, language, and strategy to bring it into the world with integrity.
At its core, Golden Hour Arts is about more than representation. It's about helping people understand themselves, each other, and the world more clearly through art, culture, and storytelling.
Because the strongest creative futures aren't built through urgency or imitation. They're built through clarity, connection, and work that remains deeply true to who we are.
